HARD WORK PAYS OFF.
Anthony Lanier II, born on May 8, 1993, is a professional football defensive end currently playing for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Alabama A&M University and entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent, signing with the Washington Redskins in 2016. Lanier impressed during training camp and earned a spot on the 53-man roster, making his NFL debut later that season. He showed flashes of his potential in 2017 with standout performances, including a two-sack game against the Arizona Cardinals. However, injuries limited his time on the field, leading to his release from the Redskins in 2018.

Following his time in Washington, Lanier spent time with several NFL teams, including the Los Angeles Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs, Detroit Lions, and New Orleans Saints. While he made active rosters and practice squads, injuries continued to interrupt his progress. In 2021, Lanier transitioned to the CFL, signing with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, where he continues to pursue his professional football career.
